We're seeking a highly motivated Construction Cost Accountant to join our growing construction company. In this crucial role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the financial success of our projects by meticulously tracking costs and data entry of labor billings. As a Construction Cost Accountant, you will collaborate with project managers and estimators to track labor expenses, process financial transactions related to contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and invoices. You will analyze project costs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. Additionally, you will review variances with sales staff, contractors, and department heads, reconcile subcontractor accounts, and ensure timely payments. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of construction accounting principles and best practices will be essential to your success in this role.
