About The Position

Potelco, Inc., a subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc., specializes in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, focusing on power, transmission, distribution, and substation projects. We are seeking a Construction Coordinator to join our team in Puyallup, WA. This role combines project management and field construction experience, assisting the general foreman and creating growth opportunities in electric operations. The position involves 75% fieldwork and 25% office work, with a pay range of $38-$42/hour.

Requirements

• Understanding of engineering and construction principles related to electric distribution and transmission systems.
• Proficient in computer applications such as SAP and understanding of plant accounting.
• Proficient in using maps and tensing for Plat development for residential and commercial projects.
• Proficient in Excel with the ability to create spreadsheets.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Pre-view construction projects and coordinate with customers (internal, external, and new customers).
• Communicate job readiness with all stakeholders, including PM, end customer, scheduler, and other base personnel.
• Identify changes in work scope, track costs for reimbursement, submit field change requests, and provide updates for revenue purposes.
• Work closely with the General Foreman to address crew-related matters.
• Coordinate processing of change orders, including approvals and execution.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical individuals on cost and construction.
• Track material and coordinate with stores on material procurement to ensure correct material availability.
• Pre-unitize jobs based on prints provided by PM for Plats and Base.
