About The Position

Mortenson is currently seeking a Construction Coordinator II to Join our Energy
Storage Group with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels
in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and
efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and previous experience as a Construction Coordinator I
• OR a Non-scientific or math skills-related college degree (e.g., fine arts, philosophy, business)
• OR a 2-year degree in construction
• Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills
• Construction experience preferred
• Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management to support any aspect of a construction project
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
• Ability to effectively handle detailed information and meet deadlines
• Ability to multitask
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day construction management support
• Prepare daily progress reports
• Review technical documents (blueprints, estimates)
• Assist with project start-up and closing tasks
• Maintain supporting documentation (field books, daily reports, safety logs)
• Arrange trucking, order fulfillment, and equipment delivery
• Document and recommend process efficiency changes
• Perform basic field quality and safety inspections
• Document conformance to plans and specifications
• Promote Mortenson’s safety culture
• Track construction progress with photos and record-keeping
• Develop spreadsheets and tools for project coordination
• Demonstrate advanced skills and knowledge
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
