Construction Coordinator I - Solar - West TX
About The Position
Mortenson is currently seeking a Construction Coordinator I with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. VISA Sponsorships are not available for position. (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. This is not a remote position - 100% travel - regular rotations every 3 weeks for 5 days This is an hourly position - entry level This position is not planning to start until May 2026.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience on a construction job site preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills
- Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management to support any aspect of a construction project
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
- Ability to effectively handle detailed information and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel up to 100%
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience on a construction job site preferred
Responsibilities
- Collect and organize punch lists, inventory, work production plans for easy retrieval and documenting
- Process invoices and billing under the supervision of project manager and/or project accountant
- Train in new project admins/clerks
- Perform basic inventory control under the direction of project management staff
- Assist with record retention and document controls
- Perform basic field quality and safety inspections
- Document conformance to plans and specs
- Recommend potential solutions
- Promote Mortenson’s safety culture
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- All other duties as assigned
