About the position

The Construction Controller at Trinity Building and Designs will lead the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with construction accounting methods. This role involves mentoring the accounting team, improving processes, and maintaining financial integrity to support the company's growth under the guidance of the COO.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring, leading, guiding, training, and overseeing the accounting team.
• Designing and crafting procedures to improve data flow and reporting efficiency.
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems and operations.
• Preparing timely and accurate monthly financial statements with analysis and reporting.
• Maintaining accurate financial ledgers on costs, revenues, and expenses.
• Providing analysis, budgeting, and ad hoc reporting as requested.
• Overseeing bank reconciliations and maintaining the Work in Process Schedule.
• Monitoring general ledger entries for accuracy.
• Calculating and processing billings for commissions and job costs.
• Ensuring timely payment of accounts payable and verifying documentation.
• Managing corporate and inter-company loans and receivables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Controller or Accounting Management experience.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting methods and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical care experience is a plus.
• CPA license preferred.
