About The Position
The Controller will lead the accounting function for a growing construction firm, driving accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
Requirements
- Strong background in construction accounting
- Advanced proficiency with Sage 300 (Timberline) and related ERP tools
- Knowledge of GAAP and construction industry compliance standards
- Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills
Nice To Haves
- CPA preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Perform job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billing
- Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
- Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and insurance requirements
- Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate payroll and benefits reporting
