About The Position

Job Summary Details: The Cleaner position provides detailed cleaning, general maintenance, and upkeep of an assigned area. Benefit Information: ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available. 1 year of similar work experience. Customer services experience. Essential Functions: Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, cleaning walls, glass, removing rubbish, performing overhead cleaning using extension poles, ladders and/or MEWP. Performing cleaning duties in confined spaces such as RMF (Raised Metal Floor), MAU (Make-up Air Unit) & working at heights over 30 feet while wearing fall protection. Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities. Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned. Standing for long periods of time, bending, crawling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb. Frequently walking over 10,000 steps on uneven surfaces & stairs. Responsibilities: Floor sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Utilize ladders & MEWP. Clean Electrical rooms including high voltage equipment following all OSHA guidelines and site protocols. Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks May remove stains from such surfaces as drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. May perform other incidental seasonal tasks. Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors Cleans and vacuums-controlled environment areas. Gathers and empties trash. Wipes and cleans cleanroom surfaces, chairs, and benches. Cleans overhead vents. Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions using soapy water or other cleaners. Must keep janitors staging areas neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order. Performs duties such as cleaning and maintaining floors throughout the site. Performs various cleaning duties throughout level 4 protocol cleanroom areas. duties may include but are not limited to flat mopping, top-down detail cleans, and super cleans. Assist in biohazardous waste cleans. General waste removal. Working at heights over above 15ft Cleanroom equipment maintenance. Always adhere to cleanroom procedures while working in level 3 & 4 areas. Cleanroom cleaners are required to always wear cleanroom garments while working in level 4 areas. Environmental conditions Outdoor portable restrooms. Outdoors lunch area. Subject to weather conditions such as wind, dust, heat, rain & dust storms. A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
