Now, let's see if this opportunity is the right challenge for you. MORI is hiring a Civil Engineer to support the FAA's Infrastructure Engineering Center under the NISC IV program. You'll lead the design, review, and oversight of critical FAA infrastructure projects-ranging from remote towers to facility renovations-with a focus on safety, reliability, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review civil engineering plans for FAA construction and renovation projects
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and technical evaluations
  • Support field activities including Joint and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (JAI/CAI)
  • Prepare reports and ensure documentation aligns with FAA standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complete engineering packages

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (4+ yrs exp) or Master's (2+ yrs exp) in Civil Engineering
  • Experience with site development, tower/shelter design, utilities, and concrete/foundation work
  • Familiarity with NEPA, stormwater permitting, and construction risk management
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and project management tools (Primavera, MS Project, CWP)

Nice-to-haves

  • FAA-specific systems: NASET, NASEB, CWP
  • HAZMAT, HVAC, grounding, fire detection, and security systems
