About The Position
The Construction Assistant in this position will aid in the refurbishing, remodeling, and routine maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities. Essential Job Functions include: Essential Job Functions: • Provides assistance in new construction, refurbishing, remodeling, and the regular maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities; • Provide general labor assistance in FitzHouse projects; • Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites; • Operate basic hand and power tools safely; • Communicate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, and team members. • Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required.
- High school Diplomas or GED equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of remodeling and construction techniques and tools required
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team required
- Experience in facility operation and maintenance required
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion required
- Ability to be aware of and adhere to specific timeframes and time limitations required
- Ability to utilize office equipment and programs, such as printers, scanners, phones, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc. required
- Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality required
