About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction and Remodeling Foreman to lead our construction teams in various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and remodeling, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and remodeling, with a proven track record of successful projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
  • Proficient in project management and budgeting.
  • OSHA certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of construction workers, carpenters, and other skilled tradesmen.
  • Assign tasks, set work schedules, and ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor the progress of projects and ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Enforce and promote a safe working environment, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety regulations and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct safety meetings and training as needed.
  • Coordinate with project managers to plan and organize construction and remodeling projects.
  • Order materials, equipment, and supplies as required for each project.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Inspect work to ensure that it meets quality standards and complies with project specifications and plans.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Report project progress, issues, and changes to upper management as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve construction-related problems, obstacles, and challenges as they arise.
  • Make decisions on-site to keep projects on track.
  • Mentor and train construction workers and apprentices to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
