We are seeking an experienced Construction and Project Systems Application Lead to oversee and support enterprise applications that enable construction, project controls, and estimating processes. This individual will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, driving process improvements, and leading a team to deliver exceptional support and solutions. Experience with Procore, Sage Estimating, Primavera P6 or similar platforms is highly desirable. The Team Black & Veatch’s Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting construction technology solutions, preferably in project controls and estimating.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, including estimating, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Hands-on experience with Procore or similar construction management platforms.
  • Solid understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
  • Prior experience in a lead role within IT or construction technology
  • Experience applying ITIL principles in IT service management environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead the support, configuration, and optimization of Construction and Project Systems applications.
  • Manage application roadmap
  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT and construction teams to ensure effective use of technology in field operations.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for application issues.
  • Manage integrations between construction applications and other enterprise systems (DocuSign, Bluebeam, etc).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Estimating, Project Controls, and Construction workflows.
  • Mentor junior staff in application support and best practices.
  • Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and compliance with company standards.
