About The Position

The Construction Administrator supports the successful delivery of Saxbys cafe construction projects by conducting site visits, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring alignment with Saxbys construction standards. This role serves as an essential support to the Project Architect while developing expertise in managing the complete construction lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of experience in construction management, architecture or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with project management software (Procore, Monday.com, Airtable, Gantt charts preferred)
  • Working knowledge of construction techniques, terminology and documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or related field
  • Support, exhibit, and promote Saxbys Mission and Core Values in all daily activities
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to stoop and kneel
  • Push, pull, lift or carry up to 75 lbs
  • Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps

Nice To Haves

  • Construction experience in food & beverage industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Site Management: Conduct regular site visits independently, create detailed punch lists, document project progress, and identify issues that require escalation or collaborative problem-solving with the Project Architect.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage day-to-day communication with preferred vendors for owner-supplied FF&E and finishes, track deliveries, and ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Maintain accurate project schedules, track RFIs and submittals, organize project documentation, and provide regular status updates to the Project Architect and stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance Support: Review shop drawings and equipment specifications, assist with project closeouts, and collaborate with Product, Accounting, and Operations teams to support health department requirements and cafe turnovers.
