About The Position

The Construction Administrator will play a vital role in overseeing the construction administration for commercial building projects within an architecture firm. This position serves as the key link between the design team, contractors, and clients, ensuring that architectural designs are implemented effectively, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to project specifications and timelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with construction administration for commercial architecture projects.
• Graduate of a recognized technical college or university in Architecture, building, or architectural technology.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Knowledge of construction documents, including contracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to coordinate consultants and internal office staff.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
• Excellent computer skills to produce reports and documents.
• Physical ability to navigate construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction progress and quality for compliance with contract documents.
• Attend construction meetings, taking minutes and notes.
• Make regular site visits to observe and report on construction projects.
• Coordinate communication between owners, contractors, architects, and consultants.
• Process change orders, payment applications, and other project documents.
• Manage project closeout process, including review and distribution of closeout information.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide technical support to project teams.
