About The Position

Construction Accounting Manager – Alpharetta, GA Who: A strong, stable construction firm. What: Seeking a Construction Accounting Manager to support the CFO and lead a small team of accountants. When: Hiring immediately for a full-time position. Where: Alpharetta, GA Why: Due to growth and ongoing success, financial leadership is needed to maintain internal controls and accurate project accounting. Office Environment: Collaborative, fast-paced, and team-oriented atmosphere. Salary: $125k–$135k plus bonus, with excellent benefits. Position Overview: We’re looking for a hands-on Construction Accounting Manager to manage daily financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This role is key to maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial visibility across multiple projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry
• Proficient in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar
• Experience with Procore or other project management tools
• Strong background in job costing and AIA billing
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Nice To Haves

• Sales tax compliance experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions
• Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
• Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams
• Improve processes through financial and construction software tools
