The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is seeking Conservation/Historic Preservation Workers (CW’s) for temporary seasonal positions, not exceeding six months, at various locations across Illinois. Under immediate supervision, CW’s will perform routine maintenance and janitorial duties for site buildings and public use areas, including groundskeeping, cleaning facilities, and trash disposal. They will also operate and maintain equipment and vehicles, assist in habitat management and hunting programs, and potentially perform site interpretation at select locations. The IDNR is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and promoting Illinois' natural and cultural resources, overseeing a wide range of assets from water and wildlife to parks and historic sites. The Office of Land Management (OLM), which includes the Historic Sites Division, manages nearly 400 land parcels and facilitates outdoor recreation and conservation through various programs and activities.
