One of our clients in Fort Meade, MD needs a Connectivity Engineer (Skill Level 3) for a contract position.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in network engineering or similar roles.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4 additional years of network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
IAT level III certification (or IAT II with plans to obtain IAT III).
CCNP certification or higher.
ITIL v3 Foundations.
12 years’ experience in Networking (WAN/CAN/DCN/NETSEC).
7 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of DoD secure WANs.
3 years’ experience in operating and maintaining service provider MPLS WANs.
1 year experience in maintaining agency external boundaries (peering points).
Experience in network test, evaluation, and monitoring.
TS/SCI with FSP (Maryland Clearance)

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and sustain WAN, CAN, DCN, and network security systems.
Troubleshoot network issues, optimize configurations, and analyze network characteristics (e.g., traffic time, speeds, packet sizes).
Implement solutions for server requirements such as load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and NAT.
Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput.
Conduct site surveys, installations, and configuration management for a global Enterprise Network.
Perform pre and post-deployment tests, security evaluations, and ensure adherence to government standards.
Lead and manage large-scale efforts with dynamic requirements.
Work with system engineers and cross-functional teams to refine network requirements.
Optimize system performance and dataflow management across various front-end and back-end components.
Design, integrate, configure, deploy, test, and maintain network devices (VPN, VRF, VSS, BGP, OSPF routing, VLAN).
Facilitate fault-tolerant, scalable network topologies for WAN and LAN design.
