About The Position

The Conformance Testing Team Lead is responsible for managing the conformance testing process for assigned reports, products, and systems by researching and interpreting regulatory requirements, reviewing reporting logic, and designing test cases to validate compliance and data accuracy. This role requires strong expertise in regulatory reporting (FFIEC 031 and FR Y-9C required; FR Y-14 and FR 2052a preferred), along with hands-on proficiency in SQL and SAS for test case development and data validation. The Team Lead will translate requirements into structured test scripts, oversee execution to identify issues and confirm compliance, and provide leadership, guidance, and quality oversight to offshore teams. Acting as the accountable owner for assigned reports or systems, they will collaborate with stakeholders to communicate findings, support remediation efforts, and drive continuous improvements in the testing framework.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Six years of related experience.
  • Demonstrate domain expertise in banking, financial services, fin-tech, quantitative risk management, and/or financial regulation.
  • In-depth knowledge in practices, theories, and methodologies associated with statistics, programming (Python, R, SAS), machine learning, model development, and business information visualization.
  • Working knowledge of Hadoop, Pig, Hive, and/or NoSQL, Spark.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience with regulatory reporting, specifically FFIEC 031 and FR Y-9C.
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL and SAS for data validation and test case development.
  • Strong background in conformance testing, including developing test scripts and reviewing code.
  • Ability to research and interpret regulatory instructions and translate them into executable test cases.
  • Experience leading or overseeing junior resources.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Drive overall team standards and take a leading role in hiring, onboarding, and coaching new teammates.
