About The Position

HERS Advisors has partnered with a large, full-service law firm who are looking for a Conflicts Attorney to work in their West Los Angeles office (hybrid) . The Conflicts Attorney will work with Attorneys, other conflicts department staff, and the Firm’s General Counsel to help identify, evaluate, and resolve ethical and business conflict issues.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate required
• 2+ years of conflicts experience is required

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive research of relevant parties to identify or rule out potential conflicts of interest
• Reviewing and analyzing conflict reports to provide concise evaluations of potential conflict issues along with recognized steps for resolution
• Serving as an escalation point for Conflicts Analysts and coordinating with them on conflict issues through to resolution
• Researching, analyzing, and drafting conflict waivers, engagement letters, and ethical wall memoranda to ensure potential conflicts are addressed and resolved
• Collaborate with responsible attorneys and the Firm’s General Counsel to determine appropriate terms of engagement, and where needed, negotiate engagement, outside counsel guidelines and conflict waiver terms with clients
