About The Position

The Configuration Technician I is responsible for the quality delivery of a multitude of technology-related services. The Configuration Technician I will have an understanding and interest in general computer hardware and software as well as mobile device technology. This position requires initiative and drive to get the job done right and ability to learn from their fellow employees as well as a wish to grow their career and expertise in the technology field are also strongly desired.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Degree
  • 2 Years of Experience
  • Technical Skills Working knowledge of Windows OS
  • Working knowledge of mobile devices
  • High proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel required
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, in English, verbally and electronically (written email)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Attention to Detail
  • Must be able to accurately record and track work as it is being done up to and including: Item being asset tagged Scanning items into electronic media Marking items as complete Keeping completed items separate from those being worked on

Nice To Haves

  • An AA degree in an IT related field strongly preferred
  • An A+ Certification is desired but not required
  • Basic hardware knowledge and troubleshooting a plus
  • IT Terminology
  • Working knowledge of Apple OSX preferred
  • Some CMD line experience preferred Written and Verbal Skills

Responsibilities

  • Configuration and deployment of PC's and mobile devices
  • Use and navigation of Windows OS and MS Office
  • Navigation of folder and file structure
  • Renaming of system(s)
  • Use and navigation of Windows Mobile OS, Apple iOS, and Android OS Administration of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
  • Use of endpoint management solutions
  • Accurately record and track work as it is being done up to and including: Item being asset tagged Scanning items into electronic media Marking items as complete Keeping completed items separate from those being worked on
