About The Position

CACI is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to work alongside a high functioning and fast paced team in a lab environment that specializes in System of System integration evaluations and supports both currently fielded and future communications equipment for the Warfighter. This role will be in the Tactical Systems Integration Facility (TSIF) on APG, MD under the FLAIR contract.

Requirements

  • Active SECRET security clearance required
  • MINIMUM 3-5 years of experience AND certification referenced above
  • Familiarity with ANSI/EIA-649 and Mil-STD 3046 CM standards
  • Familiarity with Information Assurance and cybersecurity controls
  • CM2 Certification from the Institute of Configuration Management OR equivalent cert (within six months of hire)
  • Additional training on specialized systems will be required of the candidate

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day Configuration Management (CM) operations
  • Provide CM expertise and support to multiple test enclaves; track software version lists for individual events, maintain internal CM related SolarWinds tickets.
  • Maintain and develop Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) of all test facility-controlled documents:
  • Test Enclave Architectures (via required quarterly audits and interim updates based on current events)
  • Standard Operating Procedures and Master Document List (MDL)
  • Accreditation Memorandums and Certifications
  • Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
  • Audit/tracking of access control into the facility
  • Checksums via PowerShell, running an automated script for hundreds of checksums such as Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI) Builds
  • Assist in the preparation of additional technical documentation, as requested.
  • Maintain CM for all software entering facility:
  • Track systems’ software updates and schedule of deliveries expected.
  • Ensure incoming SW has been approved by CCBs and correct versioning nomenclature is used.
  • Schedule and execute both Functional and Physical Configuration Audits and Reports (FCARs/PCARs).
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders on issues and requirements.
  • Maintain CSA over CM procedures to ensure the test facility supports integration of changes across the development, integration and evaluation phases of System(s) Under Test (SUTs).
  • Implement recommendations for CM process improvement through changes in organization procedures, tools and practices.
  • Utilizes CM Best Business Practices to maintain CSA of test enclaves, lab management infrastructure and software repositories.
  • Participate in high level meetings, conferences, and working groups.
  • Apply knowledge of Software Control and Release Management, Material Fielding Exception, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management / Alerts process.
  • Apply knowledge concerning the conduct of Configured Items inspections, audits, workflows, and CM process management for the test facility
