CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Manager within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Configuration Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of IT and software assets, ensuring they are properly documented, tracked, and controlled to maintain consistency, reliability, and compliance. Key responsibilities include defining configuration management plans, managing configuration items in a CMDB, implementing version control, facilitating change management processes, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

  • Planning and Execution: Develop and implement configuration management plans throughout the project lifecycle, from development to deployment.
  • Configuration Identification: Define and document all hardware and software components (configuration items) that make up a system.
  • Version Control: Manage versions of software and hardware components, often using tools like Git, to track changes and maintain integrity.
  • Change Management: Oversee the process of approving, implementing, and tracking changes to configurations, preventing service disruptions.
  • Documentation and Tracking: Maintain accurate records of all configurations, including their status, relationships, and history, often in a CMDB.
  • Audits and Reviews: Conduct audits to ensure configurations are accurate, consistent, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Review and update existing configuration management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work with IT staff, developers, and other teams to ensure adherence to configuration management policies and practices.
  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 10+ years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuration management tools and databases (CMDBs).
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects, analyze complex information, and maintain organized records.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to educate employees, facilitate discussions, and provide guidance on configuration management processes.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage teams, provide training, and drive the implementation of best practices.
  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuration management tools and databases (CMDBs).
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects, analyze complex information, and maintain organized records.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to educate employees, facilitate discussions, and provide guidance on configuration management processes.
