About The Position

Sigmatech is hiring for a Configuration Manager to support Mission Delta 9, located at Schriever SFB. This role is critical in guiding and controlling configurations and baselines, ensuring complete traceability of changes through a documented change management process. The Configuration Manager will work closely with engineering, production, and sustainment teams to establish and maintain configuration management processes for both hardware and software systems, including COTS software license management. This role involves conducting comprehensive audits of artifacts and asset inventories to create and maintain accurate as-built models and drawings for the assigned area. Use Visio and other modeling tools to create and maintain as-built configuration drawings or models. Review and research Change Requests and other work vehicles to complete tasks using Remedy ticketing system. Consult with engineers to understand configuration changes to update all related drawings and artifacts. Update and maintain the Configuration Management System (CMDB) and property records. Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner. Provide useful suggestions on improving processes and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and peers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in configuration management or related fields
  • Strong understanding of CM policies and processes for technical baselines and documentation
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance at the time of application
  • Proficiency in managing change control processes and leading CCBs
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with CM audits
  • Proficiency in CM tools for hardware, systems, and software
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute CM processes, policies, and procedures for hardware and software systems
  • Identify configuration items and ensure accurate baseline documentation
  • Manage changes from initiation to implementation, including leading Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings
  • Maintain complete and accurate configuration status accounting and generate reports as needed
  • Conduct configuration audits to verify accuracy of records
  • Provide CM training to program teams
  • Communicate CM status to functional and program management
