About The Position

The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Configuration Manager/Data Manager specialist to work in Ridgecrest CA to support the Navy's Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Ranges (AEWTTR) mission. Primary Responsibilities The data manager oversees an organization's data lifecycle, ensuring its quality, security, and accessibility. They are responsible for designing and managing databases, setting data policies, and ensuring compliance. Develop and implement data systems: Create and manage databases and systems to meet organizational needs. Establish policies and procedures: Create rules for data sharing, quality control, and security, while also ensuring data confidentiality. Ensure data quality: Design techniques for quality data collection and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Manage data lifecycle: Handle the collection, processing, storage, and secure archiving or destruction of data. Support data users: Assist colleagues in performing data-related tasks and with the daily use of data systems. Oversee data security: Implement secure procedures for data handling and manage backup and recovery processes. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience; additional education, experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite daily in Ridgecrest CA.
  • Understanding technical drawings
  • Proficiency in databases, MS Office (Access, Excel, Word) Adobe Acrobat
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to assess data needs, identify problems, trends and risks, and develop solutions.
  • High degree of accuracy is required for data management tasks.
  • Ability to work with colleagues and provide support.
  • Ability to manage projects and work to deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • At least three years of working experience in data management, data analysis, or other data administration functions including collection and distribution.
  • Direct experience in USN Training Range instrumentation and technology sustainment and support
