About The Position

The Configuration Management Team Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: • Oversee the entire lifecycle of change requests, from initiation to completion, ensuring all configuration Management (CM) requirements are met by guiding requestors and stakeholders through the change management process. • Oversee the baselining of configuration items into the MDIOC Requirements, Architecture, and Engineering Baselines as required. • Direct the processing, review, categorization, and documentation of all CM activities prior to submission for government and contractor review boards. • Lead and conduct site surveys as a critical component of CM audits to validate the integrity of facility configuration items and configuration information. • Mentor and develop FEPP CM teammates, creating a culture of continuous learning and clear opportunities for career advancement within the configuration management discipline. • Collaborate with Quality Control to spearhead the resolution of any assigned findings, implementing corrective and preventive actions related to the MDIOC Technical Baseline. • Develop and own the CM processes, work instructions, and supporting documentation to ensure strict compliance with Industry, IRES, and Government CM policies, plans, and procedures. • Establish and manage a comprehensive training program for all CM processes, delivering training both internally and externally to the FE&O organization. • Champion organizational process improvement initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement within the CM team. • Perform other duties as assigned to support the strategic goals of the organization. The successful candidate will: • Demonstrate expertise in overseeing the complete lifecycle of Configuration Management tasks and projects, guiding a team to effectively prioritize and execute in a high\-pressure environment while maintaining configuration control of MDIOC Technical Baseline artifacts. • Be self\-driven to continuously learn and identify areas of improvement in the FE&O CM process. • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Be able to follow documented processes and procedures and provide feedback to update as necessary. • Work well with a team environment.

Requirements

  • Must have 6, or more, years of general (full\-time) work experience
  • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have a total of 5 years of experience in: Leading configuration management efforts to include CM planning and management, identifying and baselining configuration items, configuration change management, configuration status accounting, and CM verification and validation.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder.
  • Must be able to go beneath elevated floor areas.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Must have experience understanding EIA\-649\-C.
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience using BMC Remedy.
  • Have experience developing and presenting training documentation.
  • Have experience writing process documents.
  • Have experience tracking and providing CM related data for metrics purposes.
  • Have experience developing and auditing baseline configurations.
