About The Position

As the central authority for system integrity, the Configuration Management Specialist leads the implementation of the Configuration Management program and enforces rigorous compliance for all Depot activities. This position provides critical Configuration Management (CM) support by establishing configuration baselines, managing change control, and reviewing and updating the technical documentation required for C4I Depot Overhaul activities. The specialist supports Depot efforts to develop CM plans, maintain configuration status accounting records, and identify computer program versions. A key responsibility includes maintaining equipment/system locator records; the role demands meticulous data entry skills to ensure the accuracy of configuration records, thereby preserving status integrity and ensuring full traceability. The role also ensures all CM-related documentation is tracked and inventoried and involves participating in formal configuration audits and the Depot Configuration Control Board (CCB). Furthermore, the position requires applying specialized knowledge to ensure CM principles are integrated across the ten elements of logistics, from Maintenance Planning to Design Interface.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years recent C4ISR or other relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
  • This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or higher in Business Information Systems; Information Science; Business Management; Management Sciences; Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2008.
