About The Position

Vista Global Solutions, LLC (VGS) is a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several federal agencies and military installations across the U.S. We are seeking an Configuration Management Specialist to join our ongoing mission in San Antonio, TX. The Configuration Manager candidate shall adhere to best practices of configuration management to document and schedule all configuration changes and associated downtimes for release of changes into the enterprise. The candidate must demonstrate an approach that provides for maintaining complete traceability of configurable items deployed in the delivery of the office automation, network and system management, and other assets using the DHA asset management system (currently MHS ServiceNow). The candidate shall follow standard configuration management practices/procedures including, but not limited to, assisting with maintaining a configuration baseline, documenting, providing input to regular DHA Configuration Control Boards, and will adhere to the DHA configuration change process.The candidate shall support formal configuration base lining processes as defined and managed by DHA Enterprise Configuration Managers for ensuring that Hardware and Software revisions are fully documented, to include functionality and interfaces with other systems/tools. As new releases of systems or other Infrastructure changes are deployed, the candidate shall assist with the establishment of new Configurable Items (CI) and assist with providing for the complete traceability from one stage of production to the next. At the direction of the Government Task Manager the candidate shall use the CM module within the preferred DHA ITSM Tool (i.e., currently MHS ServiceNow) to assist with the monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement efforts of Governing board to ensure: All work product to include Systems, Infrastructures, and/or services defined by the Government Task Manager as CIs and included in Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) received or generated by a project or DHA Support Group or Agency are adequately documented, stored and managedChanges to these work products/Systems/Infrastructures/Services are controlledChange processing and implementation status are recorded and reportedCompliance with specific requirements is verifiedAll processes and procedures for capturing, processing, and reporting the status of proposed changes to JBSA Site supported systems, components, databases
