The Boeing Company is seeking Configuration Management Engineers to join the Phantom Works Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) in Berkeley, MO. This role supports an exciting proprietary program critical to Boeing and our DoD Customers. The selected candidate will work with SMEs across the program to develop a complex and highly integrated weapons system while embracing the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering strategy. The individual will solve important technical and affordability challenges, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills, an engaging culture, and high ethical standards while delivering results. This position requires experience in Configuration Management & Data Management (CM/DM) across multiple phases of a product life cycle, including concept development, design, test, and production. Candidates must thrive in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment and be proficient in CM/DM and Systems Engineering tools and processes. Direct experience with managing multiple configurations in a Digital Engineering environment is highly desired, along with experience on teams that have developed and controlled system designs from their earliest stages.

  • Schedule and technical execution of the SEIT-CM/DM statement of work (e.g. Configuration Management, Data Management, Configuration Control Board, Product Data Manager database)
  • Development and documentation of the Program's Configuration Management and Data Management program
  • Ensure Supplier Configuration Management Plans and Execution support of robust change control throughout the product lifecycle
  • Executing the Program's Configuration Control Boards
  • Developing innovative approaches to collecting and managing the large volume of digital data
  • Daily interface to SEIT manager, Program Management, Program Chief Engineer, Program Teams, and Program Customers
  • Input to performance evaluations, performance development and career counseling
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor's or work related experience with a Master's
  • 5+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work related experience with a Master's or work related experience with a PhD
