Certain positions at EnerSys Advanced Systems require access to information or technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other U.S. government security regulations. Candidates for these positions should be a "U.S. Person" under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a refugee/asylee) and/or otherwise comply with ITAR requirements for access rights to be considered for a position. The Configuration Management Coordinator performs activities ensuring and maintaining the integrity and consistency of a product's attributes, design, and documentation throughout its lifecycle by applying the principles of the SAE EIA-649 standard. Key responsibilities include establishing baselines, managing engineering and process change requests, conducting audits, overseeing document control, and training teams to ensure compliance with government and customer standards for traceability, accountability, and product quality.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience with managing a configuration management system or five (5) years with hands-on experience with the EAS configuration system.
  • Familiar with AS9100 Quality Management System standard
  • Familiar with industry standard EIA-649
  • Working knowledge of PDM and Document Control systems and software.
  • Ability to efficiently develop, improve, document, and implement processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Attention to detail and team-oriented mindset.
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office and web-based software

  • Internal Auditing and QMS experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the engineering change process, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and their associated documentation, to maintain traceability and revision control.
  • Manage the process change process, including Process Change Orders (PCOs) and their associated documentation, to maintain traceability and revision control.
  • Ensure compliance with EIA-649 and other relevant standards (e.g., AS9100, MIL-HDBK-61) for military and commercial products.
  • Maintain records and provide status accounting to track changes and ensure traceability and completeness.
  • Lead the Change Control Board (CCB) assuring any conditions of change order approvals are verified prior to release.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and program management to strengthen configuration control across various departments.
  • Train engineering and integrated product teams on configuration control policies, procedures, and contract compliance workflows.
  • Configure the Manufacturing Database with new and/or revised bill of materials, new or revised batteries and their components and new or revised test and inspection characteristics.
  • Create and update components and battery Flowtags.
  • Facilitate and/or conduct internal and process audits for verifying proper configuration and compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Work closely with Document Control to ensure proper compliance.
  • Support the management of Government Property.
  • Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
