The Configuration Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in 3D modeling, CAD design, and an in-depth understanding of manufacturing principles. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of design projects.

  • Utilize CATIA software to create and modify 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing processes and products.
  • Develop detailed design specifications, CAD models, and engineering drawings in compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with product development, engineering, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to determine the best design solutions and materials for manufacturing.
  • Perform design reviews, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to enhance product design and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during the manufacturing process to resolve any design-related issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CATIA software, industry trends, and best practices in manufacturing design.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and presentations to stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with CATIA V5/V6, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and design using CATIA software.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing and design.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously improve design processes.
  • Knowledge of additional CAD software and PLM systems preferred.
  • Certification in CATIA or related engineering software, preferred.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), preferred.
