The 'Golden Dome for America' initiative is a transformative program designed to enhance missile defense capabilities for North America. With its layered approach to intercepting and tracking threats-ranging from traditional ballistic missiles to advanced hypersonic weapons-the program is poised to address the increasingly sophisticated missile arsenals of China, Russia, North Korea, and potentially Iran in the coming decades. Its implementation marks a significant shift toward resilient, distributed, and proliferated space-based architectures as critical components of an integrated deterrence strategy. The Configuration Data/Knowledge Management (CD/KM) SME will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust processes to manage configuration data, technical documentation, and knowledge assets related to space system programs supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) missions. This position requires a highly experienced individual skilled in data governance, configuration management principles, and knowledge management systems to ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and accountability of program-critical information. The CD/KM SME will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, program compliance, and effective decision-making by ensuring that all technical data and related documentation are consistently maintained and aligned with program requirements. The role involves close collaboration with technical teams, program managers, and government stakeholders to support the lifecycle management of space systems data and knowledge assets.
