As a Configuration Control Specialist, you will be responsible for the coordination, review, maintenance, and revision of all technical configuration documentation within the business unit. You’ll work with Configuration Control Specialists across other business units to ensure that everyone is working towards the corporate vision of configuration control and will train business unit staff in all areas of technical documentation and engine configuration. As a Configuration Control Specialist, you will be responsible for the coordination, review, maintenance, and revision of all technical configuration documentation within the business unit. You’ll work with Configuration Control Specialists across other business units to ensure that everyone is working towards the corporate vision of configuration control and will train business unit staff in all areas of technical documentation and engine configuration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Business Administration).
  • Experience reviewing, auditing, or processing technical documentation with accuracy standards
  • Experience identifying and correcting documentation discrepancies in accordance with company procedures.
  • Experience maintaining controlled records in accordance with regulatory or quality management system requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with Documentation Control

Responsibilities

  • Review new OEM technical documents and assess impact to overhaul manuals, service bulletins, parts lists, BOMs, cross-references, alternate part files, and Unit Build Standards (UBS).
  • Coordinate technical document reviews with Engineering and update related documentation, including BOMs, shop orders, CNC programs, Company Processes, Matrix routings, and temporary revisions (TODR/TPLR).
  • Maintain and update the Matrix (remanufacturing) routing system.
  • Develop and revise Rework Option Codes (ROC), incorporating cross-functional input to determine labor, material, and supply costs.
  • Create and manage PMS part numbers, routings, master bills, and approvals; maintain related master files (ROC, model codes, process types, unit/work center/machine/part codes).
  • Maintain BOM structure and revisions; implement minor UBS changes and initiate major revisions for Engineering approval.
  • Maintain the business unit’s central technical documentation and engineering records.
  • Partner with Process Engineering to establish routings for new repairs, including electronic FAI registration in Matrix shop orders.
  • Collaborate with Configuration Control teams across business units to support corporate configuration control standards.
  • Provide training and guidance on technical documentation systems and maintain training materials.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and support special projects as assigned.
