About The Position

HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a Configuration Analyst to join our growing team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. The Configuration Analyst will provide configuration management (CM) expertise in support of advanced simulator systems. This position requires strong technical knowledge of CM principles, process rigor, and the ability to evaluate and manage technical data in highly complex environments. The analyst will ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) CM standards while enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions that maintain system integrity and mission readiness.

Requirements

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • At least 4 of the last 8 years in program management, technical analysis, or business analysis.
  • Must have experience with aircraft or simulator systems configuration management.
  • Proficiency with CM evaluation tools, databases, and reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with DoD and international acquisition standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and relevant SAP/SAR clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee CM processes, including configuration identification, control, audits, and status reporting.
  • Evaluation, coordination, and disposition of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Specification Change Notices, and Variance Requests.
  • Compliance with DoD CM policies, procedures, standards, and review cycles.
  • Provide CM support across all lifecycle phases, including development, production, test and evaluation, ground support equipment, ancillary systems, and fleet operations.
  • Ensure accurate processing and documentation of all Class I (Major) changes and variances.
  • Track, analyze, and report CM metrics in alignment with DoD Data Management Program requirements.
  • Guide stakeholders in CM best practices and advise leadership on the impacts of proposed changes.
