The Opportunity We are seeking a Conferencing EVC Tech Lead to oversee executive AV operations and lead complex technology deployments across Abbott. This role is critical in ensuring seamless conferencing experiences in executive spaces while driving innovation and compliance with corporate standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7–10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years in AV.
  • Strong technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Expertise with Cisco Control Hub, Cisco Call Manager, MS Teams Admin, and unified communication systems.
  • Experience with MS Teams and Cisco interoperability.
  • Proven leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical needs and deliver effective solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related field.
  • Experience in FDA-regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with risk-based planning and project management best practices.
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage operational and administrative activities for Executive AV.
  • Lead large-scale technology deployments for conference room management.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Facilities and Project Teams for site remodels and new builds.
  • Evaluate and contribute to future-state desktop and AV technology strategies.
  • Conduct risk-based planning sessions and proactively mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies, identifying process improvements.
  • Provide accurate reporting, metrics, and project updates.
  • Champion change and innovation with a global perspective.
  • Manage AV equipment implementation, troubleshooting, and vendor escalations.
  • Oversee integration of Abbott-standard AV and unified communication tools (MS Teams, Cisco).
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain firmware updates, documentation, and regular maintenance cadence for executive spaces.
