What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year of experience in environmental services, preferably in a hospital, healthcare, or hospitality setting. Knowledge of best practices and procedures in environmental services. Ability to operate common cleaning equipment, including floor care machines and high-speed buffers. Familiarity with detergents, germicides, strippers, waxing, and other cleaning chemicals. Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Basic math skills and proficiency in reading, writing, and following written or verbal instructions. Willingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks, often with frequent interruptions. Strong communication skills to collaborate at all levels, provide instructions, and train others when needed. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. What You’ll Do Environmental Care & Event Support Deliver exceptional environmental services throughout the community at all times. Partner with the Connective Living Team to support seamless, high-quality operational services for residents, team members, and guests. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of event spaces, offices, and common areas including chapels, gathering spaces, libraries, boardrooms, and public areas. Clean and prepare spaces by mopping floors, dusting, polishing furniture, cleaning bathroom fixtures, washing walls, and caring for carpets. Perform terminal cleaning of event spaces and prepare for room setups. Respond to and assist with cleaning emergency spills as needed. Maintain resident equipment and furnishings across event and common areas. Collect, pack, and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures. Follow established cleaning and operational standards, considering any special requirements for events or residents. Move furniture, equipment, and community property as directed. Change curtains, drapery, and cubicle partitions as needed. Report needed repairs to supervisors, including broken fixtures, leaks, tile damage, window issues, and furniture repairs. Perform additional duties as assigned.
