About The Position

The Conference Service Attendant is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down meeting rooms, banquet spaces, and event areas in accordance with event specifications and brand standards. This role plays a vital part in creating seamless, polished experiences for guests attending meetings, conferences, and special events.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hotel conference services, banquets, or event support preferred
  • Ability to read and execute room setup diagrams and event orders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented with a professional attitude
  • Must be able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs and move furniture or equipment safely
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down meeting rooms and event spaces according to event orders, including tables, chairs, staging, linens, and audio-visual components
  • Ensure all spaces are clean, organized, and guest-ready prior to event start times
  • Assist with refreshing rooms between sessions or during multi-day events, including resetting water, supplies, and cleanliness
  • Respond promptly and professionally to last-minute changes or requests from meeting planners, guests, or the conference services team
  • Maintain all event equipment in good working order and report any damage or inventory needs to management
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all furniture and event materials
  • Support banquet and catering teams as needed with food & beverage delivery, bussing, or replenishment during events
  • Follow safety procedures for lifting, moving equipment, and setting up rooms to prevent injury and maintain OSHA compliance
  • Maintain positive communication with the Conference Services, Sales, and Banquet teams to ensure event success
  • Deliver excellent service with attention to detail, timeliness, and guest satisfaction throughout all stages of the event
