Come look at us at Florida Coastal Paving. We are looking for a Concrete Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of the concrete construction projects. This critical role will manage on-site operations, coordinate with project teams and ensure safe work to complete jobs timely and correctly. Our Concrete Superintendent will be a strong leader and extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of concrete work processes, including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, finishing, and curing.

Requirements

  • Experience in construction management with a focus on concrete.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete placement techniques, formwork systems, reinforcement installation, curing methods, and quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and certification requirements for construction sites.
  • Proficiency in using construction site management software
  • Skilled in managing subcontractors, budgets, and project timelines effectively.

  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all concrete construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
  • Oversee daily work schedules
  • Foster a culture of working safely by enforcing safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
  • Review blueprints and schematics thoroughly to interpret technical drawings accurately for onsite execution.
  • Manage quality control processes by inspecting work for adherence to standards; utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
  • Oversee budgeting and cost control measures related to concrete materials, labor, and equipment; prepare reports for project tracking.
  • Supervise and mentor field personnel; grow your crew members into leaders
  • Ensure proper documentation of daily activities, incident reports, and project logs
