About The Position

Clark Bros., Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent for our Renewable Energy Division. This role requires strong leadership in structural concrete operations and the ability to work effectively with teams at all levels in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Concrete Superintendent will be responsible for planning, coordination, and direct supervision of assistant superintendents, subcontractors, and craft labor focused on concrete scopes, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Experience reading and interpreting structural and concrete drawings, grading plans, and construction documents
  • 5 or more years of construction experience with a successful track record working with structural concrete, preferably in renewable energy or utility-scale work
  • 2 or more years in a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations related to earthwork, heavy equipment operations, and trenching activities
  • Completion of OSHA 30 preferred, but not required
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be willing and able to travel and be at the project site and act as an onsite Superintendent.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all structural concrete activities within the scope of the project
  • Ensure the high-quality execution of concrete work, including formwork, reinforcing steel placement, embeds, anchor bolts, concrete placement, finishing, curing, and testing
  • Review drawings, shop drawings, and submittals with the engineering and project management teams to verify constructability and compliance with contract documents
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager on crew sizing, equipment needs, concrete sequencing, pour plans, and site logistics
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of project schedules, including phase planning and 3-week look-ahead schedules specific to concrete activities
  • Supervise and ensure quality control of both self-performed and subcontracted concrete work
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality documentation related to concrete placement and structural requirements
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards related to concrete operations, including formwork safety, rebar installation, rigging, and concrete placement activities
  • Attend and participate in project meetings, serving as a liaison between field engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and craft labor to ensure concrete scopes are executed per plans and specifications
