About The Position

Buckeye Construction & Restoration is seeking a skilled Concrete Restoration Specialist / Concrete Finisher to repair, restore, and refinish concrete structures on commercial projects. This role focuses on structural concrete repair, not general flatwork. WHAT IS RESTORATION: Restoration is being creative, being able to realize that there is an issue while never looking at a situation as un-able to do or impossible. Restoration Specialists don’t always need to know the answer, but awareness of the issue and desire to seek a solution is critical. Below is a list of additional requirements and/or traits of a successful Restoration Specialist. Requirements

Experience in concrete finishing or concrete restoration preferred
Knowledge of surface preparation and repair techniques
Ability to read project specifications and follow detailed instructions
Strong attention to quality and safety
Be flexible. (Open to learning new skills and trying different approaches.)
Not afraid of heights.
Ability to work safely in active jobsite environments.
Travel is required.

Responsibilities

Perform concrete repairs including patching, resurfacing, and structural restoration
Remove damaged concrete and prepare surfaces for repair
Form, pour, place, and finish concrete to specification
Apply repair mortars, overlays, and coatings
Assist with crack repair, joint restoration, and structural strengthening
Operate hand and power tools safely
Follow all OSHA and company safety standards
