About The Position

The Lab Technician coordinates daily concrete testing operations by monitoring the production schedule and perform tests to optimize the number of concrete tests performed. Concrete test results will be reviewed by the Technician to ensure results are within specifications. The Technician must also ensure required material tests are performed correctly and results documented properly.

Requirements

• ACI testing certifications
• Proficiency with MS Excel spreadsheets
• Basic mathematical skills
• Experience in concrete production or testing

Responsibilities

• Utilize proprietary software to monitor production workflow
• Direct concrete tests to optimize testing schedule
• Ensure testing equipment is functional and in good repair
• Develop proficiency in equipment calibration checks
• Review test results and report any inconsistent results
• Develop an understanding of concrete materials and their effects on concrete performance
• Achieve certification in required ACI testing programs
• Acquire the ability to understand and issue required reports
