Responsibilities Role Expectations and Competencies As a General Concrete Construction Laborer you may perform any combination of tasks to assist on a wide variety of construction sites. This position performs a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require them to assist other. Completes all tasks with a high attention to detail. Adhere to and promote company safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Identify and report potential safety hazards, concerns, or incidents immediately. Communicate and work with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a productive work environment Demonstrates ability to contribute value in a team setting. Candidate to act with integrity and employs ethical behavior during all stages of the project. Exhibits an established and growing technical expertise. Demonstrates a dedication to personal responsibility through the ability to overcome obstacles and produce tangible results. Assist in the preparation of construction sites, unloading, loading, and moving construction materials, and clearing debris and hazards. Preparing the worksite for demolition and installation of concrete slabs, sidewalk, and curb. Aligns and braces formwork necessary for concrete placement. Installing reinforcement steel as needed and directed by supervisor. Form, pour, and finish concrete using a wide variety and tools and equipment. Competent background in raking, screeding, bull floating and edging a plus. Disassembling/Cleaning of concrete forms after concrete placemen.t Knowledge of establishing and checking grade using stone, sand, or other materials and compacting properly. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, jackhammers, and other equipment. Direct traffic near construction sites when necessary to ensure the safety of workers and the public, including set up and maintenance of cones, barricades and safety fencing. Strong commitment to attendance and punctuality a must. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Experience in concrete construction or related fields 3-5 years preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required
  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit, climb, work in challenging environments and on uneven surfaces, and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to remain alert and see, hear, and respond to team members and the surrounding environment in highly safety sensitive working conditions and near large heavy civil equipment and/or live traffic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Ability to pass Company pre-employment drug screen.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel out of town as needed.

Nice To Haves
