About The Position

Stephens & Smith Construction Flatworks Division is currently seeking a full-time dynamic and motivated Concrete Finisher/Laborer professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper finishing, texturing, and smoothing of concrete surfaces. Your expertise in concrete placement and finishing techniques will be vital in delivering high-quality results. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• At least one to two years of prior experience working in the Flatwork industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work areas by cleaning, leveling, and removing debris to ensure proper formwork placement.
• Accurately measuring materials, calculating dimensions, and planning the layout of structures to ensure precise cuts and proper fit.
• Operate grading equipment, including motor graders and laser-guided grading systems, to accurately level and shape surfaces for flatwork construction.
• Clear and prepare work areas, removing debris, vegetation, and obstacles that may impede the grading process.
• Set up and prepare the work area by clearing debris, ensuring proper alignment of forms, and establishing appropriate spacing and placement for rebar.
• Position and secure rebar within concrete forms, ensuring proper spacing, alignment, and overlap as per design requirements.
