About The Position

The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four heavy civil construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. We do a wide variety of heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, and DOT work, power plants, dams and reservoirs, underground utilities, and more. GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY The Carpenter/Concrete Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing heavy concrete work for construction and industrial services projects. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects while adhering to company safety standards and protocols.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with concrete work and team leadership in the construction industry.
  • Good knowledge and experience with carpentry for concrete forms, concrete pouring, concrete finishing, etc.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and building codes.
  • Familiarity with relevant construction software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using construction tools, equipment, and software.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure precise and accurate workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field operations for the concrete crew.
  • Coordinate work activities with project superintendent and project team.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and layout.
  • Ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards are met.
  • Direct carpenters, finishers, and laborers during forming and placement operations.
  • Conduct daily planning and coordinate material and equipment needs.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, quality control, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor work progress and quality to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the team.
