About The Position

Bailey-Harris is seeking a Concrete Foreman for the Self-Perform Division. The role involves performing and supervising concrete forming, ensuring accuracy in setting up formwork for various structural elements. The foreman will also oversee concrete placement and curing, ensuring quality and durability while managing subcontractors during pours. Additionally, the foreman will lead concrete finishing operations, maintain a hands-on presence in the field, and interpret blueprints and project specifications to plan daily work. Coordination of deliveries, equipment, and manpower is essential to maximize crew efficiency. The foreman will promote a strong safety culture, maintain accurate daily logs, mentor crew members, inspect work for quality, and perform layout from control lines and elevations.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of concrete construction experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of forming systems, rebar placement, slab prep, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively while directing a crew.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform concrete work and work outdoors in all weather.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Experience operating equipment (lull, skid steer, etc.) preferred.
  • CDL Class B or A license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and supervise concrete forming, directing and assisting crew members in setting up formwork.
  • Oversee concrete placement and curing, ensuring quality and durability.
  • Lead and engage in concrete finishing operations, ensuring final surfaces meet specifications.
  • Maintain a hands-on presence in the field to set the pace for productivity.
  • Interpret blueprints and project specifications to plan daily work and assign tasks.
  • Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and manpower to maximize crew efficiency.
  • Lead daily safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of crew hours, materials used, and project progress.
  • Mentor and train crew members in proper techniques and best practices.
  • Inspect work for quality and direct corrections as needed.
  • Perform layout from control lines and elevations to ensure precise placement.
