About The Position

The finisher is responsible for laying out forms, bending and tying rebar, setting up forms, placing concrete, stripping forms, and handling material. This is a safety sensitive position. Requirements

Possess the ability to follow instructions as directed by Foreman/Superintendent.
Possess ability to operate hand tools and hand power tools such as basic hand trowels, stick tools, walk behind machines, rider machines, power sprayer, vibratory screed, bunyan screed, roller screed, basic carpentry tools.
Able to demonstrate above skills to instruct or assist laborers if required.
Previous experience performing the listed duties and tasks for the position.
Lives in the Northern Nevada and Northern California are where most of the work will be performed.
This is a safety sensitive position.
OSHA 10 or 30 hour Certified
High school diploma or GED Equivalent
Two years’ equivalent combination of related experience or education
18 years or older
Minimum tools required for a finisher: Leather Work Boots Concrete Gloves Safety Goggles/Glasses Hard Hat Quality Leather Gloves Rain Gear 25 Foot or Longer Tape Measure 22 oz. Claw Hammer Lineman’s Pliers 4 x 12 Trowel 4 x 16 Trowel 4 x 20 Trowel 3 x 16 Mag Float Margin Trowel Wood or Fiberglass Float Knee Pads Tool Bags

Responsibilities

Layout forms
Bend/tie rebar
Set up forms
Place concrete
Strip forms
Operate tools and equipment with caution and care in a manner to obtain maximum usefulness and to extend the lifetime of tools and/or equipment
Work in a safe, continuous, conscientious manner to produce a quality end product.
Make known to foreman/superintendent any safety hazards
Working Additional hours’ weekend/overtime required
Ability to work out of town required
