About The Position

Concrete Finishers utilize special tools and apply finisher skills and knowledge to level, flatten, and smooth concrete.

Requirements

Three years of concrete finishing or related work experience.
Understands and conveys basic English commands, questions, and instructions regarding commercial construction.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to use carpentry math to calculate measurements.
Owns the tools required of the Concrete Finisher position.
Commits to and meets all scheduled attendance and production deadlines.
At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
Apply applicable materials to hardened concrete walls for a smoother architectural appearance.
Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions if clarification is needed.
Comply with all the safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety personnel.
Work effectively as a team member of the field workforce.
Follow supervisor instructions and decisions.
Understand and follow lock out/tag out procedures.
This position may supervise apprentice finishers.
