As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at the construction site. This includes cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber for slabs on grade, suspended slabs, columns, and vertical slip formed walls. You will also be tasked with building scaffolding and other construction structures, reading blueprints, taking measurements, and calculating the size and amounts of material needed. Operating hand and power tools of all types, including air hammers, pneumatic nail guns, SkilSaws, miter saws, and finishing power and hand tools, is a critical part of this role. The position requires proven experience as a carpenter/concrete finisher, with hands-on experience in working with carpentry and cementitious materials. You should have an excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation, as well as concrete finishing techniques, both hand and power. Your responsibilities will also include smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete, such as slabs on grade, overhead slabs, roofs, equipment pads, walls, and tilt-up walls, using a variety of hand and power tools. A good understanding of basic math is essential, as is the ability to follow safety guidelines at all times. You must be in good physical condition and endurance, as the job may require lifting up to 50 pounds. Other duties may be assigned as needed, and you must abide by all of the company's field safety rules. Experience with slipform concrete and equipment installation is preferred. Pre-employment, post-offer drug screening and physical examination are required.
