About The Position

The Concrete Finisher position involves placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete in various construction projects. The role requires setting concrete forms to ensure they have the correct depth and pitch, checking the forms for proper construction, and spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using various tools such as rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, and floats. Additionally, the Concrete Finisher must monitor environmental conditions that affect the curing of concrete, cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position these rods for repairs. The job also includes installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete, as well as mixing cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a commercial concrete finisher.
• Must meet security requirements for the project.
• Achieve flatness of 1/8” over 10'-0”.
