Requirements

• Experience as a concrete finisher.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours on foot, including on uneven or rough surfaces.
• Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crawl, or work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs to specified textures.
• Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
• Level, smooth and shape freshly poured concrete.
• Monitor material quantities, production rates, and equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, paving logs, and quantity records.
• Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patch holes.
• Mold expansion joints and edges.
• Oversee setup, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete pavement.
• Produce concrete surface.
• Direct subgrade work, mixing of concrete and setting of forms.
• Break up and repair old concrete surfaces.
• Calculate amounts of concrete required for each job.
• Picture objects from drawings and diagrams.
• Compare and see differences in size, shape and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Knowledge of slipform paving operations, CRCP, and concrete mix design.
