About The Position

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. is looking for a skilled Concrete Finisher to join their team in Panama City, Florida. This role involves working on road construction projects, focusing on the finishing of concrete surfaces to meet specified standards. The position requires hands-on experience and the ability to operate various tools and equipment used in concrete finishing.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher is required.
• Skilled in smoothing and finishing freshly placed concrete, applying surface treatments, and restoring concrete surfaces.
• Ability to perform tasks that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently.
• Valid Florida driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
• Smooth concrete surfaces using hand trowels, powered floats, and riding trowel machines.
• Cut joints and grooves in concrete with edging tools to control cracking and layout joints with an early entry saw.
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• Monitor environmental conditions affecting the curing of concrete.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations, prepare the base, and install reinforcing.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures into freshly poured concrete, and provide decorative finishes.
