The role requires conducting site visits and attending pre-bid meetings to understand the project scope. Additionally, the Estimator will conduct reviews and take-offs of blueprints, solicit bids from subcontractors, gather subcontractor pricing, and conduct scope reviews. Evaluating subcontractor bids against bid documents and plans is crucial to ensure that the full scope of work is considered. The Estimator will also calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials, collaborating with the client to help them achieve their project cost budget through consideration of plan details, alternate materials/finishes, and building methods.
