About The Position
A reputable company is seeking a motivated Estimator with concrete experience to join their growing team. This is a fast-paced company that emphasizes putting its employees first. The Estimator will interface with clients and their representatives to ensure that technical specifications and designs are feasible and consistent with industry standards. Estimators are responsible for developing accurate and complete job estimates. This includes identifying project labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, written specifications, and related documents. The role requires conducting site visits and attending pre-bid meetings to understand the project scope. Additionally, the Estimator will conduct reviews and take-offs of blueprints, solicit bids from subcontractors, gather subcontractor pricing, and conduct scope reviews. Evaluating subcontractor bids against bid documents and plans is crucial to ensure that the full scope of work is considered. The Estimator will also calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials, collaborating with the client to help them achieve their project cost budget through consideration of plan details, alternate materials/finishes, and building methods.
